Zoom and inspect
Use the mouse wheel to zoom around the current pointer position, or use the zoom buttons to zoom around the center. Drag a zoomed image with the left mouse button to move it, then click the exact pixel you want. Fit image restores the initial scale and position.

Are images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are loaded and sampled entirely in your browser and are not sent to or stored on nicolet.jp's servers.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported.
What is the difference between HEX, RGB, and HSL?
HEX is a hexadecimal notation commonly used on the web, RGB describes red, green, and blue values, and HSL describes hue, saturation, and lightness. They are different ways to represent the same color.
Can I accurately pick colors from small details?
Yes. Use zoom and pan to reach the area you need, then use the pixel magnifier to confirm the exact pixel. The displayed X and Y values are coordinates in the original image.
Can I pick colors from a transparent PNG?
Yes. You can sample PNG images with transparency. When you select a transparent pixel, its Alpha value is also shown.
Can I use this tool on a smartphone?
Yes. Tap to select a color, use the zoom buttons to zoom in or out, and drag with one finger to move a zoomed image. Pinch zoom is not currently supported.
